Zeena gone a bit Lara - Tomb Raider Opening Weekend - WB Cinema - Nottingham 6th July 2001

Thanks to Carly Bramwell's intervention, the manager of the Corner House Cinema Complex in Nottingham requested that JO (who is well known for appearing as Xena) kit out as Lara Croft. The Nottingham premier of the new "Tomb Raider" movie also included a replica of the "Land Rover Defender" featured in the movie.
JO's promotional day was a great success, posing for photographs, signing autographs, mixing and interacting with cinemagoers. Jo has since performed further appearances as Lara on several professional engagements.

Dionysia Convention 25th - 28th May 2001 (Xena/Hercules convention) Britannia International Hotel Docklands London

After the enormous impact of the Panathenea 2000, Xena and Hercules fans eagerly anticipated Dionysia 2001. With appearances by Alexandra Tydings (Aphrodite), Musetta Vander (Iiainus), Jo Marriott and Carly Bramwell (Zeena Lookalike/fighters) and Steve Wilson (Mythology expert), they weren't to be disappointed.

Friday night started with a bang, when the fans were treated to an opening reception with each of these guests. Although much smaller in person, Alexandra Tydings didn't lack any of her big screen personality. She amused and tantalised the audience with tales from the recent Pasadena convention, as well as behind the scenes of Xena and Hercules. The audience was amazed to discover this was Musetta's first convention. They were captivated by the stories from her many on screen performances. She related how enjoyable it had been to work on such programs as Xena, Buffy, Highlander, Secret Agent Man, as well as films such as "Wild Wild West" and "O' Brother, Where art thou?" The action didn't stop there, as fans were treated to a re-appearance by Jo Marriott and Carly Bramwell. The duo were back by popular demand, to do a sword fighting demonstration and talk. Not only that, but with the help of Steve Wilson they managed to raise over £2000 in a humorous charity auction.

An added bonus was an impromptu talk by Jeff Celentano, Musetta's husband, and film director. Jeff directed "Gunshy", as well as spending several years as a successful actor on such shows as Dynasty (Alexis's Secretary).

The signing session was very popular with the fans. Every attendee was given the opportunity to talk one to one with each of the six guests.

To the appreciation of the fans, Alex, Musetta, Jo and Carly all graciously lent their time to have individual and group photos with each attendee This allowed the audience to take home an individual and memorable piece of this wonderful convention.

Steve Wilson also entertained the fans with his talks on mythology, and book signing.
