An attempt to assemble the largest collection of Robin Hoods in one place at one time!
A total of 165 people dressed in Robin Hood costumes gathered as part of the attempt, judged by officials from the Guinness Book of World Records.
The event, which was organised by building society The Nottingham, was held near Nottingham Castle on Saturday 14th April.
Those taking part wore Robin Hood hats, tunics, tights and brown shoes. Among those in costume were several friends of mine which included Tony, who portrays Robin Hood regulary in and around Nottingham.
The current Sherrif of Nottingham, who happens to be a lady, Jeannie Packer was in attendance to see the final result. The result was a success and where better to set such a record than in Nottingham itself! Well done everyone.

( 3.1 / 137 )I got a call from an agency for a small walk on part for an episode of Casualty. The part was to play the role of a drunk woman! My name was put forward by the agency and I was picked for the role, as usual very little is said of what was involved with the role. I got a nice early call to head down to the Bristol studios and signed in and waited to meet the director.
I was shown the script was said my character staggers into reception and falls over a wheelchair! In the scene one of the main characters Kelsey, is chatting to the girl on reception, they are interupted by my character who creates a bit of a scene!
After chatting to the director and costume, a certain look was agreed for my character, her background is a woman who has turned alcohoic after her husband left her and took their kids. My outfit was a lovely Marks & Spencers number with lovely big sloppy cardigan! As she was a bit worst for wear, her hair was pretty lank and messy. I was sent to make-up just before lunch, the make-up was pretty horrific looking, like I had been in a boxing match! Black eye, split lip and bruising! I then had to go for lunch looking very attractive!
After lunch the scene was due to be shot, when it came time to shoot, it was decided the wheelchair couldn't be used because they would require crash mats and the scene would be out of shot. This ment I couldn't fall to the floor I would have to stay on my feet. A large metal flip top bin was used instead, I was to stagger in and walk into the bin and make a loud clatter. It was kind of left to me to do what I wanted so I had to think quickly what to do and make it look realistic! We had one rehersal before the take so they could see what it looked like. I used the wall to prop me up as I walked into reception, crashed into the bin where the wall finished and started laughing in a drunken manner and started to shush the bin for making a noise! Kelsey turns to where the noise came from and came over to my chatacter and led her away.
I think I did ok as when cut was said I got a round of applause! Everyone liked what I did and the scene was shot in one take! Yeah!
The director came up and shook my hand and I left feeling I had done good. It's really great getting positive feedback it confirms that you are doing something right.
The episode I have been told will air on the 12th May, so look out for a drunken house wife!

Already another Mem is upon us with the usual array of star signings. Unfortunately the headling actor, Michael Madson (Reservoir
The UK Garrison was there in all it's finery with the usual Imperial and Jedi presence as well as characters from X Men, Riddick, Batman, Aliens, Donnie Darko.
There were other characters at the event which added to the days entertainment, some very scary zombies, darleks, Dr Who, Power Rangers, 2 gorilla's from the original Planet of the Apes to name a few.
Being in Yellow Squad, the group started in the foyer harrasing the crowds as they queued up to get into the event. Security checks, bag searching and keeping order was the main order of the day. Several items of contraband were confiscated, (sweets and food items!). The crowd numbers seemed to be lower than normal and the photostand had a slower than normal flow of people, but the response from them were good, many photos were taken during the weekend.
This event saw several new recruits join the ranks with this their first troop, and on the evening social saw them go through an initiation ceremony, those involved will know what I'm talking about! As usual the evening social was a highlight of the weekend, part of the evening saw members recording lots of messages of support for a garrison member who is currently serving in the forces in the Middle East. The footage will be sent in a parcel that will also be filled with gifts to cheer him up during these hard times.
Yellow Squad with Tony Todd
Sunday evening back at the hotel saw a few Garrison members wind the weekend up by having a gingerbread man icing competition with some "interesting" designs! It was a real laugh and with a couple of drinks finished the weekend on a high.

( 3 / 159 )Hi there!
Welcome to the new look Jo Marriott Information Pages! I hope you like it. The new site is much easier for me to update myself so that means more frequent posts as I can update the site as reports come along. It saves me having to wait for my friend Bob to have a free moment to add new reports. The other great feature is you can post comments on things I post so please do so as long as it's not offensive or rude.
Please bear with me as I'm still having the mamouth task of moving all the stuff from the old site to this new one so it's going to take a little time. Some reports may have photo's or extras missing for the time being, things like the Gallery are still being moved across as well as the singing demo and film footage. I will also be moving house in a few weeks time, so again there maybe a short delay in new reports so hang in there! Thanks again for your continued support and catch up with you soon.
