Dick Turpin Documentary

Just done a days filming on a new documentary about the Real Dick Turpin for Channel 5. It was being filmed at the Avoncroft Museum over a three day period. Jo was called in to play a character called Mary Brazier, a female highwayman, a member of the Gregory Gang. The Gregory Gang were a group of notorious bandits and robbers who Dick Turpin started out with before they were eventually caught and hanged for their violent crimes. Dick Turpin managed to escape to continue his role as a highwayman.
Jo was only required to be there for the one day, the day was hampered with heavy rain and thunderstorms but it managed to hold off enough to complete the filming. Will let you know when it is due to air.

Hey,
Just thought I'd let you know how Showboat is going. Just gone past the half way marker with just tonight (Friday) and Saturday left. It's been going very well with great feedback from the audiences. One really nice comment was in the local newspaper write up on the show, the comment was that "Joanne Marriott excells in her role of Julie"! Can't get much better than that!
I'll be heading down to a small UK Garrison troop on the Saturday afternoon in Leicestershire for a small school event, will let you know how that goes.
Got a couple of things in the acting pipeline coming up, will let you know more when I know myself.
Thanks for checking in...

Well just got back from filming "Mistresses" the new BBC drama series which sounds like it will air nearer the end of the year. Quite an easy going couple of days, I play a secretary in company of Lawyers which is where the 2 main characters work. The shoot for me mainly consisted of walking around the office doing office type of things, answering phones etc etc. It looks like it's going to be quite an interesting series about 4 women in their 30's all having affairs!
Will keep you informed of any further developments.

Well I must say from what I've been told as I haven't had a chance to see it yet, most of my part in Casualty had been cut! All the bit with me acting drunk and falling over a bin didn't end up in the episode! Just a tad annoyed! angry
I swear this is just my kind of luck! Is it me or do I keep saying "oh well this thing happens!" Question
Hhhmm.... Oh well onto the next project!!

Well it looks like tonights (19th May) episode of Casualty is the one I'm in! As usual I'm working on a fire walk event so I won't see it tonight. Will have to get someone to tape it fo me. Should be a laugh, all I know is it's right after the scene where a Salvation Army guy is brought into the hospital after some sort of acciddent.

I had a days filming on the daytime soap Doctors a few days ago, had a little scene lined up with one of the main characters. I was waiting ready to do the scene when unknown to me they used one of the extra's instead! Needless to say I was some what pissed off, but hey this type of thing happens! I think I just end up walking past the camera in the scene! Not a happy bunny! angry

Oh well lets hope the filming I have next week is better than that! I'll be filming down in Bristol for a new BBC drama called Mistresses, will let you know how it goes.
