Well I said I was hoping for something positive to happen and it has at last! I was put forward to do some stand in work for a TV film called Four Seasons, I went to see the 2nd Assistant Director the other day and was given 6 weeks work! Whoo! It came at a time when I really needed the money and especially when on the way to the casting I recieved 3 text messages from different agencies telling me I wasn't picked for each job I had been put forward for! Thank god this job said yes otherwise it would have been a most depressing day!
And to finish off the day in grand fashion I got a phone call from America to say I have been cast in a small independent film! Both Sean and I sent a recorded audition and we were both cast! Filming will take place later this summer in Oklahoma! I'm really excited and itching to go and film it. I will post up further info on the film as and when it comes in. All I need now is the other video audition I sent for the film in Portugal to come through and that would be just the best news I could have! Things are looking up at last :D

Well as ever plugging away with sending off applications to casting calls! Still waiting to hear back from some, with a couple of possibilities, unfortunately it's a bit of a waiting game.

My Jean Grey costume is 95% complete so hope fully have some photo's taken shortly to show you. The other costume is coming on gradually, a lot of stuff being made from scratch so it is taking a bit longer.

A short film I did has been completed and is now online. It really is a bit of a showreel piece for the makers animation talents. Here is the link, see what you think! :)

Aquila TV Paperclip short

The Film and Television Memorabilia Fair will be upon us again at the end of the month, as ever the UK Garrison will be in full force. I shall be going again in my Elizabeth Swann costume along with Sean as Jack Sparrow. Not a bad line up of famous guests attending Memorabilia Guests Hope to see you there? March 28th/29th.

Another great event coming up "Star Wars" a Musical Journey at the O2 Arena, London next month. I shall be there on the Saturday evening with the garrison. Info on the Event

Hopefully next time I post I will have some positive feedback from my auditions! One can only hope.........

Just done a days filming on Doctors, not sure what will be shown or how much you will see of me, never know these days but it was fun never the less. Still applying for roles and going to auditions! My showreel is finally being put together so hopefully when it's done, it will significantly help with my applications.
Working on a couple of new costumes, one I started a while ago and then got put to one side so hopefully should be finished soon, Dark Phoenix from X Men 3. The other is a work in progress, further details when the costume has progressed a bit more.;)

Thanks for your interest.

John Williams Concert, Birmingham Symphony Hall - 24th January 2009
What a great troop to kick the new year off! A concert celebrating all the amazing "Music from the Movies" by John Williams. Music from films such as Superman, ET, Jurassic Park, Jaws thrilled the sell out audience. A special surprise was arranged when the Star Wars suite was played. As soon the the Imperial March started, Imperial troops entered the auditorium and stood guard on stage and in the isles with Darth Vader at the head of the orchestra.
I was lucky enough to be centre stage with the music booming out right behind me! The crowds loved the surprise with many a camera suddenly appearing.
During the interval the troopers along with Darth Vader and Boba Fett posed for photos in the foyer collecting money for charity too. After being swamped for photos the second half soon started and a final treat was saved till last. For the finale Boba Fett played the cymbols to the Throne Room tune from Star Wars flanked by 2 troopers. The crowds absolutely loved this as was very well received.

I was lucky enough to be one of those 2 troopers so had one of the best seats in the house.GRIN

Great to start the years trooping with such a great event. Follow the link for some photo's taken by Ed Hopewell of the UKG

Things are fairly quiet at the moment but have had 2 days of background work. A day on Casualty as a new mum lying in bed in the maternity ward with a new baby! The other for a new comedy series called Hometime as a punter in a pub! Who knows if I'll be seen? I did say hello to the camera when it was the point if view of one of the main characters, but whether it's used is another thing!
I shall be having a meeting soon for the Time Dwellers project thats going to be filmed at Port Meirion. The producers are looking to film a 5 minute promo sometime in March/April so will keep you posted.

Lots of sending résumes out to get auditions so fingers crossed something good will come along soon!

Thanks for stopping by
