The weekend was unfortunately marred with one of the UKG members having their Stormtrooper costume stolen overnight from the event which really put a dampener on the next day, but as ever in true UKG style, it's members rallied together and had a collection the following week and managed to donate enough for a new suit to be bought.
It was great appearing as Xena again, and like the last Mem Xena fans are still alive and kicking and showing their appreciation which is great! I even had Lee MacDonald who played Zamo from Grange Hill (for all you oldies that can remember that!) wanted his piccie taken with me. What was funnier was he asked his helper/assistant to ask as he was too shy! ha ha. I met Alan Harris again who played Bossk in Empire and is just such a lovely guy I am really hoping he will be attending the next Space Centre event next month.
As ever it was made all the more fun walking around with Sean on the Sunday and I"m already looking forward to the next one!

( 3 / 83 )Just a short posting to say Mem went really well and I will post a report up shortly. I had a couple of days work just as background on a weight loss commercial. Just had a fun day on Doctors driving a car and running over and killing the guest actor of the episode!
My Harry Potter dates for next week have now been pushed back to May
Well thats it for now as I'm real tired, will post the Mem report soon.

( 3 / 75 )Well I must apologize for all the crap spam comments that have been left over the last couple of days, it seems I was hit by the spammers again! Excuse my French but those A**eholes just wasted over an hour of my life while I went through every report on this site to clean them off!!
Anyways I am happy to report I did go to Budapest to film the commercial which as it turned out was for Schweppes (the Israel franchise). I was dressed as a Xena 'type' drinking Schweppes and waving my sword around at a cafe! It will be shown on Israel TV and also go to print in magazines as adverts. They said they would send on some of the photos and a copy of the ad so for all of you who are not in Israel I will post up what they send me as soon as I receive it.
Memorabilia is almost upon us again at the Birmingham NEC (this weekend) 27th/28th March so hope I will see some of you there.
I was also filming on the new Disney film John Carter of Mars again Tuesday just gone which was a lot of fun. Again like last time they had the rain machine and boy was it wet! We were all sodden by the end of the day and glad to get the costumes off, especially the boots. We were filming a scene replicating Victorian Boston and the actor playing John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) was on set too. Whilst walking back to have lunch I was walking behind the famous director John Landis (American Werewolf in London) which was very cool.
Well I hope there are no more spam comments and will report on Mem next week!

( 3.1 / 84 )Well since I last posted I have done 2 days on BBC's Doctors for 2 different episodes. The first one saw me wearing my red wig as they needed a red head for a flashback scene, the other saw me dressed as a Lara Croft type. The second days filming was set at a 'Super Hero' convention, well all I can say is I have never seen any type of convention that looked like that. It was so obvious whoever set the scene had never been to a sci-fi/comic convention ever! It was pretty poor but I guess it's also down to budget! Not sure when it is aired but it normally is about 3 months turn around.
I'm hoping I am off to Budapest in the next day or so filming a commercial as Xena! I will post here when I know more, hopefully in the next few days.
I went for my Harry Potter costume fit the other day as I'm being a typist at the Ministry of Magic in the last film of the series. Really looking forward to the filming which is in April
I have another 3 days on John Carter of Mars next week which should be fun so its all go which is great!
The filming on the Alien fan film was a lot of fun and I will follow it's progress and keep you updated, in the meantime there is a trailer that was filmed a while ago you can watch on Youtube Alien Epilogue Trailer
Ok I will post again in a few days to let you know if I have been to Budapest,

( 2.9 / 107 )Just filmed my first day on the new Disney film John Carter of Mars. We were filming on the Bluebell Railway down in Sussex at a reconstructed Victorian station. They didn't tell us they were using a rain machine! We all got pretty wet but it was still fun to do. I have been penciled in for another 3 days at the film studio's in March so hopefully that will happen. Another cool thing was the boots I was wearing had been worn by the actress Uma Thurman in a previous production, couldn't say what film but they were great and I wanted to take them with me!
Also I have just done some filming for the TV programme 'The Culture Show' to be aired on Thursday 4th March on BBC2 so look out for me being a Hungarian woman of the 50's!
I will be off down to the south coast this Saturday to take part in an Aliens fan film, playing a lab tech and an alien! Sounds like a lot of fun and I shall let you know how it goes.
Still going to auditions and hoping!
